The HECHT GG 950 DC is a small, lightweight, and stable electric voltage generator with an ideal price-performance ratio. It is powered by a HECHT 2-stroke engine with a displacement of 63 cm3 and a power of 2 HP. The generator is equipped with an electrical panel with a standard 230V/50Hz socket for connecting devices with a maximum continuous power of 650W, it can be temporarily loaded up to 720W, for example, with the starting currents of some devices. The socket is protected against overload by a circuit breaker. The generator is equipped with rubber-footed legs that limit vibrations and a frame with handles for easier transportation.

The power plant has a 4.2-liter fuel tank, which lasts approximately 5.8 hours of operation at full tank, but consumption may vary depending on the load of the plant.

The dimensions of the plant are 41 x 35 x 35 cm, and it weighs only 16.5 kg. Thanks to these characteristics and a noise level of 95 dB, it has become very popular among cottage owners, cabin owners, caravan and boat owners.

The output voltage characteristics of the power plant are different from those of a standard electrical network. Therefore, it is advisable to consult the power supply options, especially for sensitive electronic devices, with their manufacturer or seller.

Some electrical devices may temporarily draw several times the normal operating current when starting up, especially devices like electric motors and other devices using induction, which can be more than three times the normal power. For calculation purposes, a so-called starting coefficient can be used, which needs to be multiplied by the normal power of the connected device. For example, a coefficient of 1 is used for devices such as hair dryers, hot air guns, fryers, blenders, ovens, irons, sandwich makers, vacuum cleaners, and desk lamps. A coefficient of 2 usually applies to electric lawnmowers, angle grinders, hedge trimmers, electric saws, washing machines, and so on. For compressors, pressure washers, concrete mixers, a coefficient of 3 usually applies, while for refrigerators, freezers, or air conditioners, this coefficient can exceed 3. In practice, we can roughly calculate that a device with a power of 600W and a coefficient of 2 requires a power plant with a maximum power of at least 1,200W.

The generator must not be used to power electric welding equipment. Such use can damage the machine, and this damage is not covered by the warranty.
