HECHT GG 3300 is a medium-sized petrol electricity generator powered by a 3.5 HP 4-stroke engine with a displacement of 208 cm3. The generator's electrical panel features an analog voltmeter, a pair of standard sockets for connecting devices to 230V/50Hz, including a safety terminal for grounding cable connection. Both sockets are protected against overload by a fuse. Additionally, there is one 12V DC socket on the panel for connecting devices powered by 12V, which can also be used for charging certain types of 12V batteries. However, it does not have a charging regulator, so it is necessary to monitor the battery charge level continuously and disconnect it in time. This 12V socket is also equipped with a fuse.
The continuous power output of the generator is 2600W, and it is possible to temporarily load it up to a maximum of 3000W, for example, with the starting currents of some devices.
The generator is mounted in a base frame using rubber blocks to dampen vibrations. It can be easily transported by this frame, weighing 46.5 kg. The noise level produced is 96 dB.
The generator is equipped with AVR regulation (Automatic Voltage Regulation), which prevents voltage fluctuations when the load on the generator changes.
The generator has a 15-liter fuel tank, allowing approximately 15 hours of continuous operation without the need to refuel. It is ideal as a backup power source in case of emergencies and can also be useful in locations without access to the electrical grid. It can be used, for example, as a backup power source for circulating pumps in some solid fuel boilers and more.
The output voltage characteristics of the generator differ from those of a standard electrical network. Therefore, it is advisable to consult the power supply options, especially for sensitive electronic devices (such as computers, modern TVs, etc.), with their manufacturer or seller. Some electrical devices may temporarily draw several times the normal operating current, especially devices like electric motors and other devices utilizing induction. In practice, it is possible to calculate that a device with a power rating of 600W and a coefficient of 2 requires a generator with a maximum power output of at least 1200W.
