HECHT GG 8000 is a relatively quiet and stable electricity generator. It is equipped with two standard 230V/50Hz sockets and one 400V/50Hz three-phase socket. The control panel also features a 12V DC output that can be used, for example, for charging lead-acid batteries. The two 230V sockets can be used to power standard single-phase appliances, while the 400V three-phase socket is primarily used for devices with powerful three-phase motors. The generator can deliver power of up to 7000W temporarily (e.g., for motor starting), while the continuous power output is 6500W. It is equipped with AVR regulation (Automatic Voltage Regulation) to prevent voltage fluctuations under load changes.

The generator features an electric starter, allowing for easy starting by turning the key in the ignition switch, similar to a car. In case of a discharged battery, there is also a manual starting option using a cord.

The unit is housed in a frame made of steel tubes, equipped with transport wheels and a folding handle. This design makes it easy to handle the 88kg machine. These specifications make the unit suitable as a power source for construction sites, and it can also serve as a backup power supply for driving electrical components of some solid fuel boilers, among other applications.

The output voltage characteristics of the power station differ from those of a standard electrical network. Therefore, it is advisable to consult with the manufacturer or seller regarding the power supply options, especially for sensitive electronic devices (such as computers, modern TVs, etc.). Some electrical devices may draw several times the normal operating current during startup, especially devices like electric motors and other inductive devices, which may temporarily draw more than three times the normal power. To estimate this, a so-called starting coefficient can be used, which needs to be multiplied by the normal power consumption of the connected device. For example, a coefficient of 1 is typically used for devices like hair dryers, hot air guns, fryers, mixers, ovens, irons, sandwich makers, vacuum cleaners, and desk lamps. A coefficient of 2 usually applies to electric lawnmowers, angle grinders, hedge trimmers, electric saws, washing machines, etc. Compressors, pressure washers, concrete mixers typically have a coefficient of 3, while for refrigerators, freezers, or air conditioners, this coefficient can even exceed 3. In practice, it can be estimated that a device with a power consumption of 600W and a coefficient of 2 requires a power output of at least 1200W from the generator.
